A coat of arms is used to establish identity in battle. This coat of arms, designed to represent the New Covenant, is rich with powerful biblical imagery. Each element ties deeply into the narrative of Christ’s redemptive work and God’s promises to His people.

The Holy Spirit: Often represented by a dove, the Holy Spirit brings divine power and presence. The dove carrying grapes symbolizes the new wine of the Holy Spirit and the transforming power He brings to believers in the New Covenant.

The Lamb and the Lion of Judah: These two symbols of Christ are both crowned, representing His authority as both the sacrificial Lamb (who takes away the sins of the world) and the triumphant Lion of Judah (who reigns in power and majesty). The Lamb breaking the chains and crushing the head of the serpent speaks to Christ’s victory over sin, Satan, and death.

The Serpent: A direct reference to Satan and the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. Crushing the serpent’s head points to the prophecy in Genesis 3:15, where the seed of the woman would defeat the serpent. The serpent being beneath the Lamb also reflects the defeat of evil.

The Stone in the Centre: This stone represents the resurrection of Jesus—specifically the stone that was rolled away from His tomb, signifying victory over death and the grave. It serves as a symbol of the New Covenant’s foundation.

The Shield: The shield represents spiritual protection and defense. Within it, we find symbols of divine power.

  •  Tongues of Fire: This represents the Holy Spirit descending on the disciples at Pentecost, empowering them for ministry.
  • Rushing Wind: This also refers to the coming of the Holy Spirit, which filled the disciples with power and led them into mission.
  • Communion (New Covenant): This is the sacred meal instituted by Jesus during the Last Supper, signifying the blood and body of Christ that seal the New Covenant.
  • White Lilies: Symbolizing purity, holiness, and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

The Palm Leaves: Speak of revelation, drawing on the imagery of Deborah, who rested under a palm tree and received wisdom from God. Palm leaves are also symbolic of victory and triumph, famously used in the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

Parting of the Red Sea: This powerful symbol points to God’s deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt. It represents God's ability to make a way where there seems to be no way and a reminder of His saving power.

The Rainbow: A symbol of God’s covenant with Noah and all of creation, the rainbow represents His promises, faithfulness, and mercy. It reminds us of His unwavering love and commitment to His people.
